As a child, I always loved books just like this little girl - who I have been photographing for years. She had a blast pulling them off the shelf and seeing what they had to say. Even to this day, I have a terrible habit of overbuying in airport bookstores but at least I always have something new to read.

Most of the photos from this session were actually taken inside and it was only towards the end that we decide to explore the library of the estate where we were photographing. And I'm so glad we did!

These children are so sweet and polite, I love seeing them each year for their session. I have been looking for new spots lately and was driving by here a few weeks ago and thought "ah ha!" It has many of my favorite elements including great natural texture, wonderful color and lots of places to play.

This session with my new friend Abby took place at Princeton University at the peak of fall foliage, the trees and campus were stunning amongst the warm fall sunshine. We had so much fun playing and exploring - I had not been to Princeton in such a long time and forgot what a lovely little college town it is with stunning architecture and great shopping.

This wonderful couple received the gift of photography from their friends and one of our very favorite wedding clients. We started the session in their SoHo apartment where they live with their two 'children' - very sweet mastiffs. After including the dogs in a few photos, we walked over to the east river for some great dusk images of the city with leftover fog from the rainy day.

I have many sessions to share from peak fall foliage, which was especially beautiful this year. I have been eating at the restaurants
this family owns for years, so it was a huge pleasure to get to know them personally. We had so much fun during the session, and I loved that they were open to all my different creative ideas.

These clients have also become wonderful personal friends - I love it when that happens! Dad has a great blog called the business of being creative which is a must read for all creative right-brain types.

Since were all scheduled and ready to go on a rainy wet fall day in NYC so without letting a little sogginess get in the way, we first captured some great family memories inside their home in Tribeca and then headed outside for some splashing around.

I'd like to interrupt this regularly scheduled blog post for a quick little sidenote about a few new positions that have opened up in our sister company, little nest portraits.

We are beginning our plans to expand into our second location in Glen Mills, PA in Glen Eagle Square. This is a beautiful area of Southeast Pennsylvania in one of the most popular shopping districts. We have several positions open for both a rotating front office coordinator (this would be mostly evenings and weekends) as well as staff photographers.

The office coordinator position is part time, and is not a photography position. It's a good fit for someone who loves working with children and is would like some extra hours to compliment their full time job in the afternoons, evenings or weekends. This would be a perfect for a teacher as there may also be some summer daytime hours available as well.

The second is for a full time staff photographer five days a week (there are two positions open for this initially). We are looking for those with a diversity of children's photography in their portfolio and extensive experience working with kids. Each applicant will be placed through a rigorous interview, and upon selection, training process.
